Today, Google’s supposed to make its own web browser, Chrome, available for testing. Here is the comicbook story behind the design choices they made. Makes for very interesting (and easy) reading.

The new browser was built from the ground up, which made it possible to handle the way the browser works in, and interacts with, the (dangerous) world around it in a new, modular, more or less ‘containerised’ way.

Something most users of Firefox had hoped Mozilla would do along the way, but they seem to be stuck in their ways, improving only the way in which their browser handles processes, instead of rethinking and redesigning the browser process itself.
